Player Protection Commission

The MERKUR GROUP receives scientific support from an internationally recognized team of experts. The Player Protection Commission, established in 2011, optimizes prevention measures by incorporating the latest research findings.

Internal & external experts

The expert team consists of both external specialists and internal staff from the Central Prevention Division. Their role is to ensure that the MERKUR GROUP's prevention measures are continuously aligned with the latest scientific research and meet the demands of daily operations as effectively as possible.

These efforts have led, among other achievements, to MERKUR SPIELBANKEN Sachsen-Anhalt becoming the first casino operator in Europe to be certified by the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4) for its Responsible Gaming measures in 2015. The successful re-certification was achieved in 2021. Additionally, MERKUR SPIELBANKEN NRW has successfully completed certifications by both G4 and the European Casino Association (ECA).
