You develop business applications, whether mobile or web-based, that simplify processes, connect data and integrate internal and external systems of the MERKUR GROUP. From concept and testing to implementation, you are responsible for frontend, backend and interfaces. You integrate applications into existing environments such as SAP or internal platforms and support projects through to go-live.
Using frameworks such as Java EE, .NET, Angular or Python, you work in agile teams to build high-performing, secure and stable systems that drive innovation and digital connectivity.

Where processes must work seamlessly and data flows reliably, SAP becomes the central control layer. You design solutions that combine stability with innovation and further develop systems such as SAP S/4HANA or SAP Datasphere. Through customising, ABAP enhancements and interface management, you ensure smooth end-to-end processes. By integrating modern cloud services via SAP BTP and collaborating with development, consulting and specialist departments, you support implementations, training and rollouts. In this way, you ensure an efficient, secure and future-ready process landscape across the MERKUR GROUP.

Security begins long before the first attack – with clear structures, strong processes and forward-looking concepts. In IT Security & Information Management, you work on the holistic protection of systems, data and applications. You develop and maintain the ISMS, conduct risk analyses and define measures to secure IT and OT environments. You review security aspects of new developments, support internal and external audits and advise departments on policies. Through awareness initiatives, you also help foster a culture in which information security is actively practised and continuously improved.

Data only becomes valuable when it leads to insights and informed decisions. In Data & Analytics, you transform information into meaningful analyses that optimise processes and enable innovation. You prepare data, connect sources and develop reports and dashboards that make structures and relationships visible. You work on analytical models and machine learning solutions to identify trends early and support data-driven decisions. Using tools such as Power BI, Python or SAP Datasphere, you build a modern data architecture that measurably drives the MERKUR GROUP’s digital progress.

Digital transformation gains momentum when projects are clearly structured, managed and implemented. You coordinate system implementations, process optimisations and organisation-wide transformation initiatives. Using agile project management, you connect technical and organisational perspectives, manage interdisciplinary teams and support change with targeted measures. Topics such as product lifecycle management, digital process chains from development to production, as well as training and change programmes from the Digital Transformation Office, are also part of your work. This creates structures in which innovation can be implemented efficiently and sustainably.

Technology becomes powerful when hardware and software interact seamlessly. In IT Engineering & Systems Technology, you develop solutions that combine device architecture, firmware, embedded systems and connected functionalities. You carry out integration tests, analyse error patterns and support series production. Topics such as trusted boot, encryption, access control and performance optimisation are part of your work, as is close collaboration with development, engineering and quality assurance.
