Merkur Group Strengthens US Presence with Successful Appearance at G2E

High visitor numbers, strong customer interest, and consistently positive feedback on the presented portfolio: The Merkur Group celebrates a successful trade fair appearance at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), underlining that the German gaming specialist has firmly reestablished its presence in North America. The gaming event, held from 7–9 October at The Venetian Expo and welcomed more than 400 companies from over 120 countries, once again demonstrated why it ranks among the world’s leading gaming industry trade fairs, attracting over 25,000 visitors this year. As one of the few companies from Germany, Merkur Gaming participated alongside its sister companies and strategic partners in the gambling metropolis, presenting its extensive and compelling product range to an international audience of industry professionals.

“The G2E in Las Vegas has impressively shown: We are back in North America! The trade fair was a great success and allowed us close and intensive exchanges with our customers – not only from Latin America but also from the northern part of the continent,” reports Lars Felderhoff, Chairman of the Management Board of the Merkur Group. With the granting of a manufactures and distributors license in the US state of Nevada and the recent acquisition of Gaming Arts, LLC, this year’s G2E was of particular importance for the group. “The strong interest in our brand and products proves that Merkur resonates in America and has its finger on the pulse.”

The focus of Merkur Gaming’s product showcase was primarily on its new content repertoire. Among other highlights, the gaming giant introduced the brand-new jackpot system Link Palace to the trade fair floor, particularly well received by visitors due to its wild reels, free spins, and symbol boost features. Another audience favourite was Spire in the Clouds, allowing players to choose from five different heroes and territories to create a tailor-made adventure that perfectly suits their individual playing style.

Alongside Merkur Gaming, other subsidiaries and strategic partners of the Merkur Group were traditionally present at the booth with the iconic laughing sun. Having become an official part of the group just a few weeks ago, Gaming Arts took centre stage at Merkur World this year. With 14 new game titles, the Las Vegas-based gaming provider presented its largest G2E lineup to date – the hit game ‘Glory of Giza’ was particularly popular. Gaming Arts also showcased the US version of Mod Ex, which has already been celebrated in Europe and Latin America. The cabinet, specially adapted for the American market, impressed with its modernized LED lighting, optimised audio quality, and refined hardware.

Cash-handling experts from GeWeTe made an impact in Las Vegas with their machine-compatible solutions for checking, issuing and recycling banknotes and coins, while Bede Gaming drew attention with its high-performance gaming platform. Strategic partner and Slovenian ETG specialist Spintec once again appeared on Merkur’s exhibition space with an extensive roulette and live gaming offering, including an innovative new tournament experience enhanced by a striking LED wall and immersive game graphics.
