In Production at MERKUR, modern gaming machines and reliable cash-handling machines are manufactured for use in our branches and by various business partners. Whether in Configuration, PCB Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance or Final Assembly, you assemble components, test functionality and ensure that every device meets the highest quality standards.
With practical skills, technical understanding and an eye for detail, you work in an environment where precision matters, processes work seamlessly together and a wide range of development opportunities emerge.
If you are looking for a change and want to take on responsibility in modern production processes, this is the right place for you. With your experience, you support complex manufacturing steps, contribute improvements and strengthen the quality of our devices.
Would you like to start your career with hands-on work after your apprenticeship? In Production, you take on tasks in assembly, device testing, material preparation or production logistics. In doing so, you further develop your technical skills and actively contribute to the reliable manufacturing of our devices.
Would you like a career change and hands-on work? In Production, you will be introduced through structured onboarding to tasks such as assembly, device testing, material handling and quality processes. Even without prior experience, you can develop your technical skills step by step.
A part-time role in Production offers predictable shifts and practical tasks. You support assembly steps, packaging or material preparation and help ensure reliable production processes – ideal as an additional source of income alongside work or daily life.
With an Apprenticeship Program – Electronics Technician – Devices and Systems (m/f/d) or an Apprenticeship Program – Industrial Electronics Technician – Devices and Systems (m/f/d), you will enter modern manufacturing and testing processes. You will gain insights into assembly, wiring, device testing and technical quality procedures, developing into a reliable part of the production team.
An internship in Production provides insights into process management, quality assurance and technical workflows. You support projects, follow manufacturing steps and learn how devices and systems are produced with precision and reliability.
At the start of the production process, Configuration ensures that gaming machines and cash-handling machines are technically prepared. Software modules and game packages are set up, functions are tested and safety-related measurements are carried out. In addition, work plans and production documents are created, production processes are optimised and coordination with Purchasing, Development and Production is ensured. Material availability and capacities are planned, while new products are prepared and supported for manufacturing.
PCB Testing ensures that electronic assemblies for gaming machines and cash-handling machines function without faults. Irregularities identified during functional testing are analysed, defective components are desoldered and professionally replaced. Through structured troubleshooting and precise repairs, each circuit board is restored so that it can be used reliably and fully in later operation.
In Commissioning, components are brought together for the first time to form a fully functional system. All components are checked step by step via the device interface to ensure correct functionality and seamless communication. Potential sources of error are identified immediately after assembly to guarantee stable and reliable performance before further processing or delivery.
In Maintenance, a variety of manufacturing techniques such as drilling, milling, turning and welding are used to produce, adapt or repair mechanical components. Individual solutions for mechanical challenges are also developed and implemented. All non-electronic parts and assemblies – from simple brackets to complex fixtures – are independently manufactured, assembled and repaired.
Final Assembly is where the finished product takes shape. Assemblies for gaming machines and cash-handling machines are prepared, assembled and integrated according to technical specifications. Mechanical and electronic components are precisely installed to ensure that devices are complete, stable and ready for use in the land-based business.
In Quality Assurance, fully assembled gaming machines and cash-handling machines undergo comprehensive testing. You test hardware and software, carry out stress simulations and analyse results to ensure the highest quality and safety standards. Testing is carried out in close coordination with Game Development to ensure that every device is precisely manufactured and performs reliably in operation.
Applications are submitted via the online form on our job portal . After reviewing your documents, you will be invited to an on-site interview, including a short tour of the department. Decisions are usually made promptly, often within two weeks.
Required documents include your CV, proof of qualifications and employment references.
As diverse as the roles in Production are, so are the entry requirements:A basic technical understanding and practical skills provide a strong foundation but are not mandatory.A technical apprenticeship – for example as an electronics technician, industrial mechanic or mechatronics technician – is advantageous.
Reliability, teamwork and a careful, responsible way of working are also essential.
The production of our gaming machines takes place at our main site in Lübbecke. In addition, there are further production areas within our subsidiaries, including HESS Cash Systems GmbH & Co. KG in Magstadt and GeWeTe Geldwechsel- und Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Mechernich, both focusing on cash-handling machines.
Salary depends on the specific role, qualifications and experience.Annual leave entitlement is 30 days per year for full-time employees, ensuring sufficient time for rest and recovery.
