Your application at the MERKUR GROUP

Want to start your apprenticeship or dual study programme at the MERKUR GROUP and wondering what to expect during the application process? Transparency and a fair, respectful exchange are at the heart of what we do. From submitting your online application to the final decision, we guide you through each step in a clear and personal way.

This way, you always know where you stand – and can focus on showing us your personality, your strengths and your motivation.

Here’s how your application works

  • Online application

In the first step, you submit your application via our job portal , including your cover letter, CV and certificates.

  • Feedback

You will receive a confirmation by email once we have received your application. If your profile matches our requirements, the email will include a link to a digital aptitude test.

  • Online test

The test assesses general knowledge as well as initial job-specific knowledge.

  • Optional trial working day

If you pass the aptitude test, you will – depending on the apprenticeship programme or dual study programme – be invited to a trial working day in the relevant department. This gives you the opportunity to get to know typical tasks and processes and gain insights into everyday work.

At the same time, we have the chance to get to know you better and see how well we fit together. In this way, both sides benefit from gaining a realistic impression of one another.

  • Interview

If you impress at the assessment centre, we will invite you to an interview to learn more about you, your goals and your expectations for the apprenticeship. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions.

  • Contract

If you successfully complete all stages, you will receive a phone call confirming your acceptance. Your apprenticeship contract will then be sent to you by post for signature.
