The current employee ranking of the news magazine FOCUS Business has also confirmed this for the eighth time in a row. The MERKUR Casino subsidiary secured the title as sector winner in the “Art, Culture and Entertainment” category.
The news magazine determined the best national employers in 29 sectors based on a one-off survey of around 900,000 company profiles by rating portal kununu.com and a high-quality methodology.
Demands on employers are very high nowadays, ranging from interesting projects to diverse professional development opportunities through to ergonomic workplaces. MERKUR Casino nevertheless succeeded in impressing its employees and attaining top place in the ranking.
Human Resources
In its capacity as a training company, the MERKUR GROUP also received the “BEST PLACE TO LEARN – Top Trainer” award for the excellent development prospects within the company and the training and advancement opportunities for apprentices.
When recruiting qualified junior personnel, the MERKUR GROUP increasingly relies on the use of modern university marketing measures. In addition to the granting of scholarships in cooperation with various initiatives, the company group regularly offers a variety of practice projects and internships for students attending higher education establishments and universities. In this context, the MERKUR GROUP was certified with the “FAIR COMPANY higher education internship” quality seal of the Handelsblatt publishing group.
By signing the Diversity Charter, the company group is also committed to creating a working environment that is free from prejudice. FOCUS MONEY magazine selected the MERKUR CASINO subsidiary as the "most popular gaming venue" in Germany in 2021. The company has been able to claim this title since 2016. MERKUR CASINO took first place in the overall evaluation and received a grade of “very good” in each of the five individual categories "reliability", "gaming offer", "service", "staff" and "ambience". This success is based not only on innovative products, but above all on the highly trained staff. The personnel development department at MERKUR CASINO offers employees numerous training and further education opportunities, which ensure the high quality both for the MERKUR CASINO gaming halls and in casinos and also in our casinos on cruise ships. This results in the top marks in the areas of staff, service and seriousness.
