From preventive check-ups to company sports, we make you fit to tackle any challenge – because we care as much about your health as your performance.
At the MERKUR GROUP, we firmly believe that good health and motivation are the prerequisites for good work performance.
Our occupational health management forms a strong basis for a healthy work organisation that encourages people to give their best. We can be relied upon to support our employees in an effort to jointly meet the growing challenges of international competition.
As a concrete foundation for effective health management, we have defined three minimum standards for sustainable corporate health.
“We believe that healthy employees and favourable working conditions are the key to the long-term success of the company. So we design workplaces and create workflows that encourage people to adopt healthier patterns of behaviour and look after their health. We assist them in this by offering holistic health management from which every employee can benefit.” (Armin Gauselmann)
In just 15 minutes our masseurs will take a weight off your shoulders. With regular appointments, you can relieve tension in your neck and shoulder muscles – and at the same time raise your awareness for a healthy posture on the job. At some locations, the new week even starts on Monday with a yoga session in the office – what better way to tank up on fresh energy for the new challenges ahead?
We attach great importance to preventive health care – which is why we have introduced numerous preventive measures to keep you fit and healthy. For example an annual flu jab, the Stroke Info Tour, various occupational health check-ups and workplace inspections relating to ergonomics. At some locations you can also take advantage of a health check-up, including spinal column screening.
This means something different to each of us. Perhaps you like to spend your leisure time with your kids – or caring for a loved one. Perhaps you like to work out doing sports, or discover new travel destinations. Whatever motivates you – at the MERKUR GROUP we try to strike a healthy work-life-balance. This is complemented by our integration management to ease you back to work after a prolonged absence.
At many of our locations you can enjoy a wide range of culinary delights in our company canteens. A vitamin packed, fresh salad to beat off afternoon drowsiness or a delicious curry sausage occasionally when you feel like a spot of “comfort food” – the menus have something to satisfy every mood.
Whether crossing the finishing line of the Tough Muddler Run together or a kick-about during your lunch break – at the MERKUR GROUP we offer sport and fitness enthusiasts all manner of possibilities, for example through our company sports association. We try to keep up with the latest trends and are happy to expand our portfolio to reflect employees’ wishes. For more information go to www.bsg-merkur-gauselmann.de
Talking is silver, but talking about health is gold. That is why we focus on regular, transparent health education. This includes health days covering many interesting topics and specialist events for our trainees, for example on ergonomics at the workplace. Our aim here is clear: by providing continuous information, we make it easy for every employee to choose to act in a health-conscious way.
Successful health management starts from the top down. This is why our qualification measures always include the imparting of health literacy – enabling you to become an initiator and multiplier for health promotion issues.
We inform our teams in detail and on a regular basis about all relevant news on the topic of occupational health. This openness is essential to enable us to create awareness and to achieve strong acceptance for our wide-ranging offerings.
We offer all our employees professional social counselling – as and when needed and no questions asked. This is part of our responsible response to the constantly growing challenges of the modern working world. Because we also care about your social and mental well-being.
